Location:

East End Surf Club’s seaside location makes us a popular venue for private social functions as well as business conferences and seminars.

Adjacent to New Plymouth’s famous coastal walkway, East End is literally a few steps away from the high tide mark with uninterrupted sea views from Paritutu in the west to Waiwhakaiho and beyond to the east and north. Our elevated lounge and bar areas open up onto a spacious deck so that in summer in particular social functions can be held in a combination of indoor and outdoor areas.

Facilities:

East End's clubroom facility features:

A fully-equipped and well stocked bar.

A kitchen containing some catering equipment.

Function adjacent toilets including disabled facilities.

An extensive wooden dance floor.

Area for formal seating for up to 150 guests.

An expansive deck and surrounding lawn area adjacent to the coastal walkway.

Plenty of free car parking next to the venue.

Capacity:

East End Surf Club can cater for up to 200 people (inside) at an informal event plus another 100 on the outdoor deck.

For a formal event East Ends clubroom facility can seat up to 140 (inside).

The Club has 15 fold-out tables each of which can seat 8 people, plus another 4 square tables which seat up to 4 per table.

In addition we have, 40 business chairs, 8 deck chairs with accompanying outdoor tables plus 6 bar leaners and 12 bar stools.

Exclusions:

We do not take bookings for birthday or any similar party for young people celebrating between the ages of 16 and 21.
